On the morning of March 25, 2022, the leaders of Ho Chi Minh City's Committee for Overseas Vietnamese Affairs, including Mr. Phung Cong Dung - Chairman of the Committee, Mr. Tran Duc Hien - Vice Chairman, Mr. Tran Quang Thu - Head of Department of Economics, Science and Technology visited and worked with Ton Duc Thang University (TDTU). Dr. Tran Trong Dao, Acting President, and leaders of functional units welcomed the delegation.

At the meeting, the two sides discussed cooperation contents in order to create conditions for communication, bringing information of the university to connect with overseas Vietnamese, introducing teaching programs and cultural exchange activities with university students to Vietnamese organizations and individuals for their participation, and outstanding scientific research works of TDTU to the overseas Vietnamese community as well.

Chairman of the Committee - Mr. Phung Cong Dung said that the Committee would be ready to support and create favorable conditions to help TDTU grow stronger. He was very interested in the university's international cooperation programs, and shared that the Committee would create a bridge between TDTU and Vietnamese scientists and experts in the world such as the US, Canada, Australia, etc.

Paying a visit to the University, the leaders of the Committee for Overseas Vietnamese Affairs commented that TDTU students have a high sense of discipline, politeness, especially good study and high achievements in competitions; in addition to the scale of facilities and the achievements that Ton Duc Thang University has achieved. The Chairman of the Committee also sent congratulations on the 25th anniversary of the University’s establishment and believed that with the current development path, the University would rise to higher positions in the world rankings in the future.
