On December 29, 2021, the delegation of Ho Chi Minh City Bar Association visited and worked with Ton Duc Thang University (TDTU) for cooperation opportunities with the University, especially the Faculty of Law of TDTU.
Representatives of Ho Chi Minh City Bar Association include Lawyer Nguyen Van Trung - Chairman of the Bar Association, Lawyer Vo Tan Bao Chau - Chief of Staff of the Bar Association; Lawyer Nguyen Van Duc - Member of the Directing Board, Head of the Training and Fostering Committee of the Bar Association.
On the side of TDTU, there were Dr. Tran Trong Dao – Acting President; Dr. Nguyen Ngoc Son – Acting Head of the Faculty of Law; MSc. Nguyen Quoc Bao – Head of the Department of Inspection, Legislation and Security, Acting Head of the Department of Personnel & Administrative Affairs; MSc. Nguyen Van Hung – Head of the Department of Facility Management; the representative of the Center for Enterprise Cooperation and alumni together with lecturers and staff of the Faculty of Law participating in the reception and working with the delegation.
During the meeting, the two sides agreed to sign an MOU and implement a number of contents such as cooperation in undergraduate and graduate training, scientific research cooperation, legal advice and other support activities. In addition, the Ho Chi Minh City Bar Association will also organize professional skills seminars, connect and receive students from the Faculty of Law of TDTU for practice and internship programs at units under the Bar Association.
Ho Chi Minh City Bar Association is an organization that brings together more than 7,000 lawyers (accounting for more than 40% of the number of lawyers in the country). Members of the Association include many well-trained lawyers from abroad and specialized practice in legal fields such as international trade, foreign investment, commerce, criminal,... Ho Chi Minh City Bar Association has supported and participated in teaching and training for many law training and practice institutions in Ho Chi Minh City and Vietnam.
