Conference on Reviewing Cooperation between the Department of Education and Training, High Schools in Can Tho City, and Ton Duc Thang University for the 2020-2025 Period, and implementing plans for 2025-2031
On March 28, 2026, Ton Duc Thang University (TDTU) held a Conference to review cooperation between the Department of Education and Training (DOET), high schools in Can Tho City, and the University during the 2020-2025 period, while also outlining directions for cooperation for the 2026-2031 period.
The Conference was attended by representatives from the DOET and high schools in Can Tho City, including Ms. Tran Thi Huyen – Acting Director of the Can Tho DOET; Mr. Nguyen Phuc Tang – Deputy Director; Mr. Nguyen Van Hien – Deputy Director; along with leaders, officials, and staff from the Department’s professional divisions, as well as Principals and Vice Principals from 92 high schools. From TDTU, participants included Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Trong Dao – President; Dr. Vo Hoang Duy – Vice President; Dr. Dong Si Thien Chau – Vice President; Dr. Nguyen Ngoc Son – Vice President, together with leaders of various Departments and Faculties under the University.
Within the framework of the program, the parties jointly reviewed the outcomes of their cooperation during the 2020-2025 period, focusing on career orientation, admissions counseling, scholarship provision, training linkage, and support for the development of high-quality human resources for the locality. On that basis, the conference engaged in discussions and reached agreement on cooperation directions for the 2026-2031 period, aiming to strengthen collaboration in educational activities, career orientation, digital transformation, and innovation.
At the Conference, a cooperation signing ceremony was held between TDTU, the Department of Education and Training, and high schools in Can Tho City, helping to translate cooperation plans into concrete actions for the next phase. At the same time, participants joined campus tours of the University’s internationally standardized facilities, along with a training session on the application of artificial intelligence (AI) in educational management, creating a platform for practical exchange and experience sharing among the participating institutions.

The Conference not only marked a milestone in reviewing past cooperation but also opened a new phase of development, contributing to stronger connections between TDTU and general education institutions, with the aim of enhancing educational quality, promoting innovation, and ensuring sustainable development in the future.
Pioneering the orientation of “A university that shares and serves the community,” this event further highlighted TDTU’s role and social responsibility in accompanying the Department of Education and Training and high schools in educational development, particularly through professional support activities, training, and capacity building in educational management at the local level.
In line with the spirit of Resolution No. 29 on educational reform, the University has proactively implemented practical cooperation programs with the locality. In addition to specialized training programs on “Applying AI technology in teaching” for high schools, the University has also organized counseling, career orientation, and experiential activities for students; dispatched expert teams to participate in judging the City-level Science and Technology Competition; and carried out many other meaningful collaborative activities.
