On October 21st, 2020, Ton Duc Thang University (TDTU) signed a comprehensive cooperation agreement with Saitex International Dong Nai Co., Ltd. (Saitex).
Mr. Florian Stretz, Strategy Director; Ms. Nguyen Ngoc Kim Oanh, Head of the Department of Occupational Safety and Sustainable Development; Ms. Pham Thi Kieu Huong, Head of the Department of Human Resources; Mr. Nguyen Duy Hien, Head of the Department of Administrative Affairs, from Saitex, attended the signing ceremony.
Representatives from TDTU were Dr. Vo Hoang Duy, Deputy Secretary of Party Committee, and Director of Center of Business Cooperation and Alumni; Dr. Nguyen Thi Mai Linh, Dean of the Faculty of Environment & Labour Safety; and Dr. Nguyen Tri Vien, Lecturer of the Faculty of Electrical & Electronics Engineering.
According to the agreement, the two sides will implement cooperation in many fields such as research, training, career orientation, receiving students for internship, observation, and prioritizing the recruitment of graduates from TDTU. In addition, both sides will also cooperate more deeply in the media to enhance the images of each side.
Mr. Florian Stretz said that the current development trend of many large corporations is to relocate the production chain and to prioritize recruitment of personnel in Vietnam. Saitex is no exception. In addition to 6 factories located in Amata Industrial Park, the company is building one more factory in Nhon Trach, Dong Nai. Through this cooperation with TDTU, Saitex will be able to recruit qualified human resources for current and future development.
Immediately after the signing ceremony of cooperation, the reprensetatives of Saitex had a talk about career orientation and recruitment with students of the faculties: Environment & Labour Safety, Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Applied Sciences, and Industrial Fine Arts.
Saitex International Dong Nai Co., Ltd. was established in 2002 with 100% foreign capital investment, specializing in manufacturing jeans products for export purpose to the US and Europe markets. Currently, Saitex products are present in more than 20 countries around the world.
