Further cooperation programs with the University of Waikato

On the afternoon of April 24, 2019, the University of Waikato (New Zealand) was led by Prof. Neil Quigley, Vice chancellor, President visited and worked with Ton Duc Thang University (TDTU). Welcoming the delegation with the participation of Prof. Le Vinh Danh, President; Dr. Tran Trong Dao, Vice President along with Deans the faculty of Information Technology and the faculty of Banking and Finance.

Prof. Neil Quigley is impressed with the fast development of TDTU, especially the quality of the establishment of Vietnam - Finland International School (VFIS). He and TDTU leaders discuss carefully the plans to implement the two-stage educational program (2 + 2) in Banking and Finance and Computer Science, according to the Cooperation Agreement signed with TDTU on March 23, 2019. The two sides agreed to hand over the Waikato University Office in Ho Chi Minh City and TDTU Faculties to exchange details of the remaining issues in order to put this joint program into enrollment. In addition, TDTU also introduced information about the student exchange program and the network of University Consortium International (UCI). TDTU welcomes Waikato University to join the network.

Waikato University, founded in 1956, is New Zealand's leading public university. In 2019, the QS World University Rankings ranked Waikato University in position 274 in the world.
