Education & Times Newspaper: Two educators of Ton Duc Thang University receive commemorative medals from the Senate of the Czech Republic’s Parliament

On the afternoon of November 19, during the state visit to Vietnam marking the 75th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and the Czech Republic, President of the Senate of the Czech Republic’s Parliament, Miloš Vystrčil, visited and worked with Ton Duc Thang University.

As part of the program, the President of the Senate of the Czech Republic’s Parliament presented commemorative medals to two educators from Ton Duc Thang University: Dr. Tran Trong Dao, President of the University, and Dr. Phan Dao, Director of the European Cooperation Center.

Both educators were honored for their outstanding contributions to education and training, as well as for fostering cooperation between the two countries.

President of the Senate of the Czech Republic’s Parliament, Miloš Vystrčil, praised Ton Duc Thang University’s efforts in promoting academic exchange programs, scientific research, and educational cooperation with Czech’s higher education institutions.

He emphasized that Ton Duc Thang University is one of the Vietnamese universities with the most dynamic and effective partnerships with Czech counterparts, significantly contributing to deepening the traditional friendship between the two nations.

During the meeting, Czech Senate President also engaged in discussions with the University’s lecturers and students about opportunities for collaboration in education, research, and innovation. He expressed his desire to further expand exchange programs and strengthen connections between students of both countries in the coming years.

Dr. Tran Trong Dao expressed his sincere appreciation to Czech Senate President, Miloš Vystrčil, for choosing Ton Duc Thang University as a destination to meet and speak with the University’s lecturers and students.

The occasion was made even more meaningful as it coincided with the 43rd anniversary celebration of Vietnamese Teachers’ Day (November 20, 1982 - November 20, 2025).

Dr. Tran Trong Dao affirmed the University’s commitment to continuing the development of joint training programs, research, and expanding international cooperation networks, particularly with universities and educational institutions in the Czech Republic.

At the invitation of National Assembly Chairman Tran Minh Man, President of the Senate of the Czech Republic Miloš Vystrčil is undertaking an official visit to Vietnam from November 18 to November 22, 2025.
