On 26th April 2024, a delegation from the Department of Education & Training of Quang Nam province led by Mr. Thai Viet Tuong – Director of Quang Nam Department of Education & Training, along with principals and vice principals of high schools in the province, had visited and worked with Ton Duc Thang University (TDTU).
On behalf of TDTU were Dr. Tran Trong Dao – President; Dr. Vo Hoang Duy – Vice President; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pham Thi Minh Ly – Vice Chairwoman of the University Council, Dean of the Faculty of Business Administration, along with leaders of several Departments, Faculties, Institutes and Centers.
Speaking at the session, Dr. Tran Trong Dao – President of TDTU acknowledged and highly appreciated the outcomes of recent collaboration with the Department of Education & Training and high schools in Quang Nam province, while also expressed the University’s desire to continue expanding cooperation with the province in the coming time. Dr. Tran Trong Dao further mentioned that TDTU is currently operating the Vietnam-Finland International School (VFIS), which is the only international high school directly under a public university. Therefore, in addition to sharing experience in university management and administration, TDTU also aspires to share experience in operating and developing high schools with other institutions.
During the working session, Mr. Thai Viet Tuong – Director of Quang Nam Department of Education & Training highly praised the University’s management model, as well as the discipline in student living and learning activities. He was also impressed by the University’s modern, convenient facilities, clean, green, and globally standardized environment. Meanwhile, he also praised TDTU for its significant achievements in building the reputation as an advanced university, which subsequently has received constant support and admiration from parents, enterprises and the community. Representatives of the Department of Education & Training of Quang Nam province further conveyed their hopes that TDTU will continue to accompany the province in the field of education, particularly by giving support and offering scholarships for underprivileged students in the area.
In recent years, TDTU has been educating over nearly 300 students from Quang Nam province, and the University has allocated more than 1.4 billion VND in scholarships for qualified students from the province. As in data of 2022, the employment rate of TDTU graduates within one year after graduation ranges from 99.6% to 100%. Moreover, TDTU alumni are consistently highly regarded by domestic and international enterprises for their spirit of dedication, professional competence and discipline.
