In celebration of the 94th anniversary of the Party’s Mass Mobilization (October 15, 1930 - October 15, 2024) and the 25th anniversary of the nation’s “Mass Mobilization” (October 15, 1999 - October 15, 2024), on October 15, 2024, the Mass Mobilization Committee of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee organized a meeting to commend exemplary grassroots party organizations for their “Effective Mass Mobilization” achievements in 2024 at the Ho Chi Minh City Party level.
On this occasion, the Party Committee of Ton Duc Thang University was honored to receive a certificate of merit from the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee for its exemplary “Effective Mass Mobilization” in 2024.
Following President Ho Chi Minh’s mass mobilization ideology “Ineffective mass mobilization leads to poor performance in everything. Effective mass mobilization leads to success in everything.”, the Party Committee of Ton Duc Thang University has always thoroughly grasped and rigorously followed the Party’s resolutions, directives, and guidelines on mass mobilization work, contributing to the effective implementation of political tasks at the University.
To continue innovating and enhancing the effectiveness of the Party’s mass mobilization work, in celebration of the 94th anniversary of the Party’s Mass Mobilization, the Party Committee of the University is executing the “Digital transformation model for database development and digital competency training for lecturers and staff.” This initiative seeks to mobilize Party members, lecturers, staff, union members, youth, and students to diligently fulfill the University’s political responsibilities, in accordance with Resolution 29-NQ/TW dated November 4, 2013, issued by the 11th Party Central Executive Committee on fundamental and comprehensive educational reform, aiming to meet the requirements of industrialization and modernization within the socialist-oriented market economy and in the context of international integration, promote scientific research and technological applications, and implement digitization as well as establish lectures and electronic resource libraries. Additionally, this initiative encourages participation in the education sector’s emulation movements and the activities organized by organizations. Furthermore, the plan emphasizes expanding and diversifying promotional strategies for the 2024-2025 academic year admission, alongside the implementation of an AI-powered Chatbot to support admission processes.
In 2024, Ton Duc Thang University solemnly organized the announcement ceremony of achieving institutional accreditation according to the FIBAA standards for the period 2024-2030 and 18 study programs have been granted the Certificate of Quality Accreditation according to FIBAA, ASIIN and AUN-QA standards, bringing the total number of accredited programs to 41. Currently, the University continues to implement the roadmap for accrediting study programs following AUN-QA, ASIIN, and FIBAA standards as approved by the University Council for the period 2023-2026, in accordance with the University’s plan. The University is also working on improving its ranking according to THE standards, aiming toward sustainable development. The University has achieved outstanding accomplishments, climbing in rankings by prestigious international organizations such as QS and THE. In May 2024, the Young University Rankings 2024 of the Times Higher Education (THE) announced that Ton Duc Thang University (TDTU) was ranked 179th out of 1,171 universities included in the rankings. In June 2024, as per the result published in the Impact Rankings 2024 by THE, Ton Duc Thang University (TDTU) was ranked in the group 401-600 in the world, among a total of 1,963 educational institutions participating in the ranking, in terms of influence on global sustainable development. TDTU had an increase of 200 places compared to the 2023 ranking period accordingly.
The affiliated Party cells of the Party Committee, units under the University, and mass organizations continue to maintain the implementation of highly effective and practical models in 2023 and have registered to implement 16 new models in 2024, including 1) Enhancing the role of each staff and lecturer as a media ambassador to actively disseminate the news about TDTU and its admissions information to the community. 2) “Safe and civilized school gate.” 3) Digital transformation to enhance digital competency for lecturers and staff. 4) Digital transformation within the University. 5) Raising awareness about waste sorting at the source. 6) Effectiveness in admission practices. 7) Granting scholarships to underprivileged students. 8) Digital transformation in teaching. 9) “VFIS - Accompanying children to school.” 10) Supporting and caring for disadvantaged students. 11) “Loving summer.” 12) “Joining hands to protect our environment.” 13) “Joining hands to foster dreams.” 14) Using Facebook as a tool for propaganda, education, and raising student awareness. 15) “Safety for children in island communes.” 16) “Living beautifully – spreading love.”
Annually, the Party Committee of the University promptly reviews and summarizes its activities, identifying exemplary individuals and models for wider dissemination. It also commends and rewards collectives and individuals with outstanding achievements in the “Effective Mass Mobilization” emulation movement.
