On the morning of July 28^th, 2017, The Trade Union of Ton Duc Thang University solemnly organized The 7^th Trade Union Congress of the School, Tenure 2017-2022, attended by 145 delegates, representing all of the School Trade Union members. Dr. Huynh Van Sau, Head of Civil Affairs Committee for Education of Ho Chi Minh City Confederation of Labor; Comrade Nguyen Chuc Mung, Vice Head of Human Resource Committee of Ho Chi Minh City Confederation of Labor, Prof. Le Vinh Danh, The Party Committee Secretary, President of Ton Duc Thang University (TDTU).

The Congress summarized and reviewed the operations of The Executive Committee of the School Trade Union, Tenure 2012-2017; and set out the directions, objectives and action programs for Tenure 2017-2022. Delegates also discussed and commented on the Congress Documents and proposed concrete, practical and effective solutions to improve the operation quality of the School Trade Union in particular and all lecturers and staff who are researching, teaching and working at Ton Duc Thang University in general. The delegates elected nine members for The 7th Executive Committee of the School Trade Union. The President Committee also appointed Comrade Trinh Minh Huyen to be the Summon-master and to preside over the first session of The 7th Executive Committee of the School Trade Union, Tenure 2017-2022.

The Trade Union Congress of Ton Duc Thang University was successful and showed the solidarity, and the sense of a common direction for development as well as easy consensus of the faculties and staff of the School in general matters such as improving professional qualifications, English language skills, professional skills, the responsibilities of research and moral training in order to quickly achieve Ton Duc Thang University primary goals. The Congress agreed on the motto of the new Tenure:

 “Renewing The Trade Union operation for sustainable development
of Ton Duc Thang University”
