Housing Management and Construction Inspection Center (HMCIC) visits and works with Ton Duc Thang University
On June 29th, 2020, the Delegation of the Housing Management and Construction Inspection Center (HMCIC) led by Mr. Nguyen Tien Huong, Director of the Center visited and worked with Ton Duc Thang University (TDTU).
After visiting some in-campus facilities such as Vietnam-Finland International School (VFIS), Sport complex stadium, Creative Building, and Inspire Library, the Delegation and TDTU had a meeting on potential cooperation programs.
Delivering a speech at the meeting, the Center’s leaders highly appreciated the management efficiency of TDTU through the quality and scale of the works, the organization of operation, exploitation and preservation of works; especially, they emphasized that tidiness, cleanliness and professionalism at TDTU are not inferior to major foreign universities.
Mr. Nguyen Tien Huong, Director of the Center, mentioned many times that if the model of the University was made known earlier, the country's higher education would have had positive changes. Nearly 50 officials and staff of the Center will gain more practical knowledge about planning, construction and management as well as different perspective on project efficiency-based implementation after this tour.
Regarding the contents of cooperation, both parties agreed to carry out two main issues: 1) Scientific research-technology transfer, especially in the fields related to the Center's professional activities. 2) Cooperation in training and issuing construction inspection certificates.
Housing Management and Construction Inspection Center is a public service unit of Ho Chi Minh City Department of Construction, established in 2017. With 150 staff, the Center’s function is to provide public services in the field of construction, housing, and other construction management; advising the state in the field and the quality management of construction in Ho Chi Minh City. The Center is a member of the “Vietnam Construction Quality Assurance Network”.
