Opening Ceremony for the 2026–2027 Academic Year

On September 5, 2026, joining the nationwide celebration of the new academic year, Ton Duc Thang University (TDTU) will solemnly hold the Opening Ceremony for the 2026–2027 Academic Year. The event will officially mark the beginning of the academic and personal development journey for more than 7,000 new students of Cohort 30, while looking ahead to the 30th anniversary of TDTU’s establishment and development (September 24, 1997–September 24, 2027).

Event information:

• Time: 7:30 a.m., Saturday, September 5, 2026

• Venue: Hall 2A, Ton Duc Thang University, 19 Nguyen Huu Tho Street, Tan Hung Ward, Ho Chi Minh City

The Opening Ceremony will consist of two parts:

• Part 1 (8:00–8:45 a.m.): Live viewing at Hall 2A of the National Opening Ceremony for the 2026–2027 Academic Year, broadcast on VTV1.

• Part 2 (8:45–10:30 a.m.): Ton Duc Thang University’s Opening Ceremony for the 2026–2027 Academic Year, featuring the following main activities:

  • Address by the President

  • Ceremony to officially launch the 2026–2027 academic year

  • Presentation of congratulatory letters to newly enrolled doctoral and master’s students

  • Recognition of outstanding freshmen and presentation of scholarships to the highest-achieving incoming students
