With the aim of familiarizing the lecturers and students with the history of the European Union (EU); EU-Vietnam relations; the Czech Republic's process of accession to the EU and the role of each member state in the EU, Ton Duc Thang University (TDTU) holds the public lectures in May 2018 entitled: "The European Union in Today’s World"

Presenters:

• Mr. Bruno Angelet, Ambassador, Head of EU Delegation to Vietnam: will present the history of EU formation; the development of the EU in the present and future context; Brexit problem; EU-Vietnam relations and negotiations between the two sides on the EU-Vietnam Free Trade Agreement (EVFTA).
• Mr. Vítězslav Grepl, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Czech Republic to Vietnam: will present the history, the political situation, the economic and social development of the Czech Republic; the Czech Republic's process of accession to the EU; the importance of joining the EU and the role of each member state in the EU.
