On August 17-18, 2023, Ton Duc Thang University (TDTU) held a summer briefing conference for the academic year 2022-2023. The Conference was chaired by Dr. Tran Trong Dao - Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, President of the University with the participation of Leaders of Faculties, Departments, Institutes, Centers and affiliated units of the University. Dr. Vu Anh Duc - Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairman of the University Council attended and provided suggestions for the Conference.

This is an annual activity of the University to evaluate the effectiveness of the missions and tasks of the previous academic year and set goals and implementation plans for the following academic year.

At the Conference, leaders of Faculties, Departments, Institutes, Centers and affiliated units of the University reported the results of the implementation of the academic year's tasks and; at the same time, raise and consult the Conference on the main orientation for the new academic year. After each report, there was a discussion session of the relevant units to comment and propose solutions for each content given. On the basis of suggestions and recommendations for these contents, on behalf of the Presidential Board, the President concluded and gave directions on solutions to perform the above tasks.

The briefing conference is an important content in TDTU's activities, in which, the summer briefing conference is the one with the most content to discuss for the preparation of the new academic year plans, especially, in the Conference for the academic year 2022-2023, there was focus on discussing ideas to build and complete the proposed contents of the fourth 5-year Development Plan of the University (period 2025-2030).
