The program Happy and healthy every day: "Prevention of osteoarthritis, cardiovascular disease, stroke and how to treat the diseases"

On August 16, 2023, the Trade Union of Ton Duc Thang University (TDTU) cooperated with Ho Chi Minh City Journal of Science to organize the program "Happy and healthy every day" with the theme "Prevention of osteoarthritis, cardiovascular disease, stroke and how to treat the diseases". The presentation was also live-streamed to the TDTU branch in Khanh Hoa.

Journalist Bui Huong - Deputy Editor-in-Chief in charge of Ho Chi Minh City Journal of Science; Comrade Dang Thuy Khanh Van - Head of the Propaganda Department, Party Committee of the University and Colleges of Ho Chi Minh City; along with presenters who are doctors of Saigon ITO Hospital System and People's Hospital 115 took part in the program.

On TDTU's side, there was the presence of Mr. Tang Khac Quy - Vice chairman of TDTU Trade Union, Director of the Center of Enterprise Cooperation and Alumni (CECA) and more than 200 lecturers, staff, employees and students.

At the Program, doctors in the fields of musculoskeletal, cardiovascular and stroke shared useful knowledge. According to the doctors, cardiovascular disease and stroke are affecting the younger generation, and statistics show that, in the age group of 29-39, 1 in 10 people have cardiovascular disease. Stroke is often caused by atherosclerosis, high blood pressure, cardiovascular diseases, genetic factors ... and stress also doubles the risk of stroke. Experts have provided a lot of useful information for TDTU lecturers and students to prevent and properly handle diseases.
