Ton Duc Thang University achieved a 4-star rating from QS Stars

With the goal of becoming a research university in 2037 and getting into the TOP 500 of the world's best universities, Ton Duc Thang University (TDTU) always focuses on the development of education, science and technology towards internationalization and world-class standards. For the first time in 2014, TDTU participated in QS Stars University Ratings system. In early 2015, TDTU was recognized as the first 3-star public university. After the participation, the university has obtained more information and experience of the world's leading universities (TOP 100 world) in education, science and technology, internationalization to build a quality, sustainable and long-term infrastructure for a universty. After more than 3 years, at the beginning of 2018, QS Stars conducted a re-evaluation and TDTU has grown in all aspects compared to 2015 to officially became the first university in Vietnam with the rating of 4 out of  5 stars, with the validity in 3 years (07/2018 to 07/2021).

According to QS Stars' rating data, the criteria for Teaching, Internationalization, Facilities, and Inclusiveness of TDTU are evaluated with absolute 5 stars; Students’ employability is rated 4 stars.

According to the definition of QS Stars, "a university that is rated 4 stars is a highly international institution, excellent teaching quality, strong research ability and excellent learning environment." Accordingly, TDTU is honored to be ranked with many universities in the world with QS 4-star rating such as: Western Sydney University (Australia); Bournemouth University (United Kingdom); Thammasat University (Thailand) and University of South Florida etc. This is a serious and respected assessment of the world-class rating and prestigious organization, as well as part of the result of the generations of TDTU teachers-students’ effort to build TDTU as a strong international level over the past 21 years.

This 4-star rating by QS Stars continues to prove that Ton Duc Thang University has made great strides in becoming a research university in the TOP 500 universities in the world. Learners and teachers at TDTU can now be proud that they are studying, working in a world-class university; Learners have career opportunities around the world and are becoming global citizens. Prestige and position of TDTU are the guarantees for the success of all members of the university now and in the future.
