Responsibilities - Communications & Public Relations Department

 

1. Formulate short- and long-term strategic communications plans and provide overall editorial control for communications ensuring appropriate content, tone, brevity, and consistency.

2. Enhance communication by interpreting highly complex data to influence and build positive relationships with the media and stakeholders.

3. Develop and manage the crisis communication strategy, presenting and drafting statements and briefings for the media. Managing hostile and highly antagonistic situations where the University’s reputation is brought into disrepute. Responsible for risk assessing, monitoring the external environment, and maintaining contact and communications with the wider education areas and government sectors.

4. Marketing and brand communication of the University:

- Create and communicate the University's messages and ensure overall continuity of the University’s brand consistency and image with key stakeholders.

- Create, deliver, and evaluate campaigns and activities that lead to the effective positioning and promotion of the University via its internal and external communications channels..

- To be in charge of the University’s events photography, videos, designing and decorating (when required).

- Produce, manage, and archive multimedia products of the University.

5. Marketing and enrollment communication: Develop and implement enrollment communication strategies and tactics to promote the University and attract potential students annually.

6. Managing brand identity:

- Build and manage the University’s brand identity ensuring brand consistency.

- Implement creative ideas in the University’s designs.

- Develop and monitor Corporation Identify Program among internal and external channels.

7. Press Relations:

- Manage media relations and media coverage to strengthen the reputation of the University improving brand awareness nationally and internationally.

- Systematically monitor, audit, and interpret media for the University on the Internet.

- Develop and manage communication networking and engagement programs to enhance and demonstrate the University’s image.

- Act as the University liaise with journalists.

8. Internal relations:

- Brainstorm and carry out bonding activities among the university leaders, staff, and lecturers.

- Publish the University's internal newsletter.

- In charge of collecting materials related to the history and traditions of the University; compiling and updating University yearbooks and videos.

- Coordinate with the Student Affairs and the Department for Personnel & Administrative Affairs to develop the University’s culture.

9. Recruit and manage Students of TDTU Communication Team - STDT Communications.

10. Organize training workshops to improve communication skills for University staff and students, to ensure communication consistency among the faculties.

11. Effectively manage provided human resources, facilities, tools, and equipment.

12. Coordinate with related units to conduct the assigned tasks from the University.
