The Trade Union of Ton Duc Thang University in response to the tree-planting program

On the afternoon of May 11, 2022, on the occasion of the 132nd birthday of President Ho Chi Minh, the Trade Union of Ton Duc Thang University (TDTU) organized a tree-planting activity in response to the program "10 million green trees" of Ho Chi Minh City.

There was the participation of the Executive Committee of the University's Trade Union, representatives of trade union groups, and members of the grassroots trade union.

TDTU, one of the selected units to implement the program, was provided with more 1.700 trees in 2022 by the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development of Ho Chi Minh City in this batch. These trees will be planted to continue greening the rest of the campus.

The tree-planting program plays an important role in improving the increasing environmental pollution, and the problem of climate change which has had a significant impact on life. In parallel with the process of modernization, urbanization, and industrialization, action to protect the ecological environment is an urgent job that contributes to a peaceful and sustainable society.

TDTU campus is one of the rare green spots in the south of the city. Since 2016, the University has been awarded the certificate of "Environmentally friendly school campus" by Vietnam Federation of UNESCO Associations in recognition of the University's contributions to the formation and development of a green educational environment with a fresh and airy learning atmosphere in the busy urban area of Ho Chi Minh City in particular and in Vietnam in general.
