On November 20, 2020, Ton Duc Thang University (TDTU) solemnly celebrated the 38th Anniversary Ceremony of Vietnamese Teacher's Day (November 20, 1982 - November 20, 2020). Many friendly agencies, organizations and businesses visited and sent flowers to congratulate all lecturers of the University.
Early in the morning, all lecturers and officials came to offer incense in front of Uncle Ton Monument; which was followed by many programs including sports activities, welcoming students and alumni to visit, congratulating the lecturers, and the Gratitude Ceremony in the afternoon.
Attendees of the ceremony included representatives of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labour; Party Committee of Universities and Colleges in Ho Chi Minh City; Leaders of Tan Phong ward, District 7; friendly organizations and businesses; the teachers who are the members of the Founding Council, University Council of different periods; lecturers, staff members and representatives of TDTU students and alumni.
Speaking at the Gratitude Ceremony, Dr. Tran Trong Dao, University Representative, expressed his deep thanks to the lecturers, staff members, and those who are in charge of management for their contribution to the cause of education and for the sustainable development of TDTU.
At the ceremony, the University Leaders respectfully presented gratitude flowers to the teachers who have been with the university from the first days of establishment. The university also honored lecturers and staff members who have been with the university during the past 10, 15 and 20 years. Students also presented gratitude flowers to the lecturers representing the faculties.
Musical performances by students brought a lot of emotions to the lecturers and staff members. On this important occasion, all contributions to the cause of education deserved to be honored.
