Vietnam Automation Association working with Ton Duc Thang University
On January 12th, 2021 at Ton Duc Thang University (TDTU), the representatives of Vietnam Automation Association had a meeting with the university. The delegation was accompanied by Dr. Nguyen Duong Binh, Vice President; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Bui Quoc Khanh, Vice President of Vietnam Automation Association; and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Hoai Quoc, Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City Automation Association.
TDTU representatives including Dr. Le Van Ut, Head of the Department for Management of Science & Technology Development; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Thoi Trung, Director of the Institute for Computational Science; Dr. Dong Sy Thien Chau, Dean of the Faculty of Electrical and Electronics Engineering; and Dr. Pham Van Huy - Dean of the Faculty of Information Technology welcomed and worked with the delegation.
At the meeting, the representative of Vietnam Automation Association introduced the 6th Vietnam International Conference and Exhibition on Control and Automation (VCCA 2021) scheduled to be held in November 2021 in Ho Chi Minh City and suggested that TDTU should create conditions for the university’s scientists to participate in the conference. Moreover, Vietnam Automation Association would carry out a project on building a national database on automation. This would be a place to provide information about scientists, research groups, topics, projects for research and transfer in the automation industry.
The representative of TDTU stated that with available capacities, the university would inform, facilitate and encourage TDTU scientists to participate in VCCA Conference 2021.
The two sides also discussed and suggested some further cooperation programs, such as carrying out research topics and projects, namely national key projects, bilateral cooperation training programs for control and automation engineering to name a few.
Previously in November 2020, TDTU coordinated with Ho Chi Minh City Automation Association to successfully organize the Automation Festival 2020 with the theme “Digital transformation in manufacturing businesses”. The festival attracted many businesses in the field to the event.
