On 12 December 2019, the Delegation of Academy of Policy and Development (APD) led by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Doan Van Hung, Director of the Academy, paid a visit and worked with Ton Duc Thang University (TDTU).

Dr. Tran Trong Dao, Vice President; MSc. Trinh Minh Huyen, Chairman of Trade Union, member of TDTU’s Council and Leader of units of TDTU worked with the delegation.

In the discussion about university development under the autonomy model, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Doan Van Hung suggested TDTU share experience in university administration and development to achieve international standards in a short time like TDTU has done. In addition, he expressed his admiration of the Inspire Library with hopes that TDTU can help transfer the technologies used to APD.

Speaking at the meeting, Dr. Tran Trong Dao stated that the success of TDTU is due to choosing the right direction and model right from the beginning; putting fairness and efficiency at heart in all actions and behaviors of TDTU lecturers, officials and students. In addition, the role of leaders is crucial to developing a long-term vision, good governance and inspiration in others. MSc. Trinh Minh Huyen also remarked that the achievements TDTU has striven to achieve are aimed at serving the society and the community. TDTU is willing to share the experience and support the fellow organizations for joint development.

The Academy of Policy and Development was established on 4 January  2008 under a decision of the Prime Minister, which is a public higher education institution of the national education system. The Academy has more than 2,000 students studying in eight undergraduate majors: Development Planning, Investment, FInternational Economics, Public Policy, Finance, Banking Management, Business Administration, Bidding.
