Vietnam’s U22 football team training at Ton Duc Thang University

In the afternoon of October 14, 2019, Vietnam’s U22 football team had their first training session on Ton Duc Thang University's 2-star FIFA football pitch (TDTU) to prepare for the SEA Games 30 in the Philippines in December 2019.

Vietnam U22 team's selection of TDTU as a training ground has been the focus of the media throughout the past days. Apart from the stars like the goalkeeper Bui Tien Dung and the striker Ha Duc Chinh, there are new players such as Martin Lo who came out to practice in the cheer of TDTU students.

In response to this enthusiastic support, the Coach Kim Han Yoon and the players had spent time exchanging, signing, and taking photos with TDTU students after the end of the training session.

As planned, Vietnam’s U22 team will continue training at TDTU on October 15 and 16.

Previously, on July 31, 2019, the Head Coach of Vietnam Team Park Hang-Seo mad a sudden visit at TDTU to check the artificial grass pitch and to prepare specific activities for Vietnam’s U22 football team for the SEA Games 30.

TDTU's artificial grass pitch meets 68 x 100m standards (game field). If calculated from the foot of the stands is 74 x 108m. This is a 2-star FIFA standard artificial grass pitch, with 1,200 lux lights for live television broadcast at night even during a heavy rain.

TDTU built this football pitch in 2013 as a physical training place for students and lecturers of the University and to organize domestic and international sports tournaments. The University's sports hall was chosen by the Asian Football Federation to host the Asian Indoor Football Championship (Futsal).
