San Francisco City delegation visited and worked with Ton Duc Thang University

On the afternoon of November 14, 2018, Ton Duc Thang University (TDTU) welcomed the delegation of San Francisco City to visit and work with TDTU. Leading the delegation was Mr. George G. Saxon, Director of the Ho Chi Minh City and San Francisco Twinning Commission. Representatives of TDTU include Dr. Tran Trong Dao, Vice-president of TDTU and leaders of faculties as well as departments of TDTU.

San Francisco is a city belonging to the state of California (the United States) and has had a twinning relationship with Ho Chi Minh City since 1995. In the business program in Ho Chi Minh City, the delegation visited and discussed with TDTU about cooperation opportunities. In the session, TDTU proposed that the delegation plays a role in linking TDTU with educational and research organizations in San Francisco to create supportive policies for startup students. The delegation also came up with ideas for the cooperation with TDTU in the field of food industry and high quality agriculture.

After hearing outstanding achievements of TDTU, the delegation expressed their admiration for the fast and strong development of the university. In particular, all members of the delegation were surprised to know that although tuition fees a student has to pay per year is less than $1,000, the university has been still successfully managing and amazingly growing for the past 2 decades.
