The research result of TDTU on the exceptional journal by the subject category

The Institute of Computational Science (INCOS) is one of the specialized research institutes of Ton Duc Thang University (TDTU). Every year, INCOS publishes hundreds of papers in the prestigious ISI / Scopus journals in the world. This achievement proves that INCOS has a level of research which is not inferior to research institutes in the region and the world.

Initiation for the academic year 2018-2019, INCOS has published 03 research papers in the exceptional journal by the subject category (according to international journal ranking of TDTU). In particular, it is the International Journal of Heat and Mass Transfer, which is published by Elsevier Publisher (The Netherlands).

This journal is an ISI journal with an impact factor of 3,891 and the H - index of 163; which is ranked Number 1 among 67 journals of subject category "Fluid Flow and Transfer Processes". These research papers are about new material structures, with titles as followings:

• Electro- and thermophysical properties of water-based nanofluids containing copper ferrite nanoparticles coated with silica: Experimental data, modeling through enhanced ANN and curve fitting;

• Natural convection heat transfer enhancement in new designs of plate-fin based heat sinks;

• Synthesized CuFe2O4/SiO2 nanocomposites added to water/EG: Evaluation of the thermophysical properties beside sensitivity analysis & EANN.

Sharing his thoughts about this important achievement, Prof. Nguyen Thoi Trung said: "The policy of the Institute is to publish the research works in the leading journals in the field. All scientists of the Institute are aware of this, so most of the Institute's research works in the past were published in the very prestigious journals. At present, the Institute has a Ph.D. program in computational science and Ph.D. candidates trained by the Institute must achieve the world class level because all post-graduate candidates must have research papers in the ISI journals before the thesis defense".

From academic year 2018-2019, the university president has issued the regulations on the evaluation of the research results: it is not only just the number of ISI / Scopus research papers; but also the influence of these papers through the level of the journal and the citation index of the published research papers. INCOS's scientific achievements at the beginning of the academic year show that the Institute has fully been aware of the right policy of the University and promised a new year of success.
